I am a stay-at-home wife with three grown children. After raising and home-schooling my children,
I spent hours on the John Deere wondering, "what's next?" I had attempted upholstery on my own but had
NO clue what I was doing. So when the
vo-tech offered Beginning Upholstery, I signed up.

Current Project
This is my current project. This will be the last chair of its kind for the time being. As of now there are 4 complete Indian/Mexican blanket chairs. I will share the others in future blogs. This one is for this girl...
Obviously, the one in the middle. Sorry, husband, but this is a happy photo! She is the new future daughter-in-law. I couldn't be happier for my son. She is a treasure!

Chair # 2
This is a picture I took in Colorado Springs a couple years ago. There was a summer afternoon thunderstorm and the layers were so beautiful. This is not a black and white picture, just not much color. But I can see a green thread, can you?

Chair # 1 and Mr Kitty
This is the first chair I re-upholstered. This is the after picture, the before is down there. It was a chair I bought at a thrift store years ago and attempted to build a cover for it. After years of use we moved it to the back porch where it saw lots of life and spiders. I was contemplating putting it out for big trash day but decided to re-purpose it. Mr Kitty found the chair quite comfy.
It's a new day.
A new blog, a future new daughter-in-law, it's a good day. Those two are not equal, and the blog doesn't deserve the same attention as the future daughter-in-law, but they are the highlights of my day. Each day must have a green thread and today I re-purposed some of my time to make this blog. What will tomorrow bring?
